Hope Builders Foundation in collaboration with global peace Foundation, have met in Kagoro, Kaduna State to train young people, in Entrepreneurship development.
The three days program scheduled for Thursday, 27th May all through to the weekend, started on Thursday with Hope Builders, featuring the country’s Director, Global Peace Ambassadors, Rev. Joseph John Hayab.Speaking with Journalists shortly after the lecture on the topic, “Increasing the Productivity of Informal Workers and Enterprises Rev. Hayab said, the level of hardship in the country is alarming, noted that the program is in quest to reduce unemployment in the country.
“This program is purposely to encourage Youths to take skills seriously. There is so much cry in Nigeria that there is no job and the insecurities in the country has caused this joblessness.
“I want to encourage people that time has come that we need to take pride in our skills. The 21st century is only looking for what you can do, not your certificate. A lot of young people are in search of white collar Job day in, day out whereas, there are skills they can learn and earn a living rather than waiting for job opportunities and that is what necessitated the meeting today.” He said.
Asked why Global Peace Foundation decided to partner in the skills acquisition campaign, Hayab disclosed that his organisation shares same vision with Hope Builders.
He further expressed that partnering with other serious minded organizations such as Hope Builders will help in terms of wider coverage to get everyone involved and help women, Youths, people with disabilities, among others to live a life of their dreams.
Reacting to the event, the host, Chief Executive Officer, Hope Builders Foundation, Dr. Mathias B. Yashim, said the three days Annual Fun-Fair program, is to help equipped the people of Kagoro in such a way that they can live their lives without waiting for white collar job that may never come.
He urged participants to embrace the golden opportunity for better tomorrow.
